The drill motors have no convenient mountings attached to them so to be able to use them one has had to design and make custom mounting holes in the Chassis, The
Double D front mounting hole is particularly difficult to make with hand tools.To solve this problem I have designed a pair of mounting blocks that will accomodate both my and Harbor Freight motors.
The front
monting block is shaped to accept both makes, whilst the rear block is designed to fit the Speed 500 motors as-is and can be easily modified by reving a ring of material to then suit the larger Speed 700 motors.
A
pair of spacer rings will allow the use of the same mounting holes for all three motors.
The blocks and rings will be made in UHMW but can be made in 6061 Aluminium at extra cost.
